In this interactive and innovative course, participants will explore the origins of racial trauma, health impacts of this type of trauma, examine their own self-awareness of bias and lean how to establish cultural safety.

Assistant Professor

Jitana Benton-Lee, PhD, DNP, MSN, MHA, BSN, is an assistant professor at Northern Kentucky University. She has more than 15 years of clinical leadership and academic experience. Jitana has a doctor of philosophy in nursing from Texas Women’s University; a doctor of nursing practice and a bachelor of arts from Northern Kentucky University; a master of science in nursing/healthcare administration from the University of Phoenix and a bachelor of science in nursing from NKU.
